    No because:
    .
    1) they could be on their way home to get a shower
    .
    2) they stink because they were working hard and sweating
    .

Banned from smelling? Banned from the bus? Or banned from existence?

I could just imagine the uproar when someone from some obscure religion that forbids bathing, gets kicked off a public transit bus.

Nope. A person is still a person, no matter how "smelly" he or she might be.

The bus can set up a "stinky section" for them to sit in that has a bunch of air fresheners around it. LOL!

I say no. It could very well be as someone else mentioned that the person is on the way home from a job that requires a lot of physical labor and also causes them to sweat and not smell so good. Most likely they don't even like their own smell and are anxious to get home and get in the shower!

It seems good in theory, I've shared a fair number of rides with smelly people. The thing is that it seems like it would be difficult to enforce or prove. Or how to make a legal distinction between acceptable and too smelly. The other thing is that often people riding public transportation have no choice.

There should be a law against personal hygiene, because the public should'nt have to deal with people who stink,it should be our god given right to complain.:)
