It can be entertaining sometimes and it might help SOME of the participants open their minds a little, but that is not what the producers intentions are. They specifically pick families that they know will cause the most conflict so their ratings will be high. The particular episode with the "Prayer Warrior" from Louisiana was hilarious.

I do like it, and it certainly portrays itself as helping the families out in most cases (for extreme people). I do doubt how extreme some of the situations are, and it obviously is put together for the sake of the drama it apparently causes. I find it to be an amusing show, and take it with a grain of salt.
