Unless the coma was deliberately introduced by the medical care team in order to aid in healing (and sometimes even if this was), the general rule seems to be that the longer coma persists, the more likely it is for damage to be persistent and major after the patient again wakes up. You posted this question a couple of months ago. By now, you should have a better sense of the predicted outcomes for this patient.
