  • <ehem> That's Pakistan and India's aggression toward each each other. That is actually one of the reasons - People taking sides, assuming one side is completely victimized by the other. The main reasons stretch back centuries - Muslims and Hindus have had a tumultuous relationship in India for a long time. Before the British Colonial era, the ruling monarchy was Islamic. Since the end of the Colonial era, most of the governing power has shifted to Hindus. Also, the rifts created by their Partition have never really been healed. Both side blames the other for the consistent failure to achieve peace, and many Indians and Pakistanis have been taught since childhood to hate the people on the other side, as a matter of principle - as if they "have to" hate them, even without any real reason. [It has as much to do with Nationalism, as it does Religion]
