Why is the hole in the pentagon so small, bearing in mind a plane was supposed to have hit it?

OH my, that's a good question. Take a look at this video I found on YouTube.

Because a plane is made of aluminium which is quite soft. The hole is typical of the size of hole a Boeing 757 would make in a masonry building.

I have no idea why the hole is small, but retroglide's video convinces me it was a plane.

Here are a few answers, that collectively, explain why: 1. Because the area of the Pentaon that was hit had recently been rebuilt and reinforced. 2. The Pentagon is an impressive building. It was not that small of a hole, it was just the building is so darned big. 3. The plane hit a an angle in which most of the plane hit directly towards the ground. 4. Most of the weight of a plane is fuel. The plane itself is not "that" heavy (yes I know it's a freakin' 747).
