  • Well, it's hard to say without seeing an actual picture of you. I'm not asking you to show one, though, because we are, after all, strangers on the Internet.
  • Whether or not you're "ugly" has more to do with facial shape, etc, than just your hair and eye colour. You could be pretty with those stats, or ugly. Becoming a blonde won't make you any more pretty, and may even detract from your looks since it will be fake.
  • blonde would make you look washed out, if you are happy with your color let it be. if you would like to make it a little more brilliant just go about 1-2 shades lighter to bring out the natural highlights. +5
  • go buy a wig that is the color and style you want, wear it and if you feel positive energy go commit yourself to the slavery of hair fashion
  • Maybe you just need a new style. Brown isn't mousy. I have dark brown hair and I love it. Every time I have tried to streak it or dye it, I just feel fake and it never looks natural. I prefer to let my natural colors come out.
  • natural beauty is always more attractive....condsider changing the hairstyle and this might make you feel sexier
  • If you love it, keep it! I agree natural is always best, and you may not like the new colour, never change anything about you unless it's for you, never to simply please others, this never works.. love yourself and make the most of what you love, this will radiate to others :)
  • Just add a few highlights to it, it will perk up face, skin and hair Nothing major , but highlights do wonders.
  • It is not that I have ANY opinions about the proper hair color, but I think that you do. What connotation do the words "mousy brown" give? It sounds like YOU think your own hair color is unattractive. And if you believe yourself to be unattractive, then you will be. Beauty is in how you act, how you feel, how you take care of yourself. (Well, at least it is in my eyes.) The color of your hair is no factor. So the answer is, look at yourself in the mirror. If you want to change what you see, either look at yourself differently, or change your hair color. Either answer is acceptable. If you do decide to change your hair color, there are surely web sites or computer programs out there that will show you how you look in different hair colors, different hair styles. Temporary hair dyes are there for your use. Use them to try out a color for kicks and see how you like it. Add highlights to your hair. Or buy a wig, for when you just want a different look for a day. Don't feel that you cannot try something out. You are beautiful if you let yourself be so. Again, my personal opinion about hair is that it is something that grows and needs to be cut periodically. Hey, I'm a guy! But it is your opinion that counts here.
  • As a blonde hair veteran I don't recommend dying hair blonde. It looks most beautiful when it's naturally blonde or freshly done (at a salon). The down side is that the on-going process ruins beautiful hair (not immediately noticeable but give it 3 - 6 months and look at the extensive damage), thins it out, makes it very thirsty and porous and throws brass-gold if you don't put toners in it frequently. It's expensive to maintain and gets lots of breakage and split ends.
