  • God can do anything
  • There are actually a few things that God can not do. The God of the Holy Bible can not lie. There is no falsehood in Him at all. Two of the verses that assure us are: "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" (Numbers 23:19) " That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation..." (Hebrews 6:18). The Christian God: the singular God who revealed Himself in three personalities as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, can not lie. (One other thing that God can not do is that He can not not exist. I use this double-negative to say that He has always and always will exist. I know, that's the answer to another question.)
  • God is good Good is virtue Virtue is supreme Supreme is absolute Absolute is truth
  • Since there isn't one...i'm going with: No
  • Nyet. There are a few things He cannot do. He cannot lie, He cannot be untrue to His Nature, and He cannot fail.
  • God cannot sin.
  • Like little Georgie Washington, God cannot tell a lie.
  • God can't. His authors certainly can.
  • According to christianity god is omnipotent and can do anything. If it says it can't lie then it's lying because it can. After all it invented lies. Allegedly...
  • if we was made in his image... anything we can do, so can he...
  • That's like saying, 'Can God make a rock so big even he can't lift it?' If God wanted to, he could limit his own power so that he couldn't life a rock. But his power could allow him to juggle a boulder with the greatest of ease.
  • No...HE is sinless...HE won't and has never .....
  • Something which is only a concept, can't lie. Godmen, prophets, popes-priests-pimps often do. Read their books, which contain ample evidence.
  • YES! For example, Mohammedans' Allah is not bound by the word He gives to 'an infidel'. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) broke a treaty (of Huddaibiya?) he had made with his own Qureish clan of Mecca, when he attacked it from Medina under the pretext of pilgrimage to Kaba, which he ransacked & vandalised. * So a Mohammedan is 'technically' not bound by his 'contract' with a non-Muslim. Like God, like prophet, like believers!!
  • Sure. How about this? Genesis 6:13... Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. Well Booga booga, all flesh is still here.
  • Definitely! Gawd can lie, sit, stand, walk, run, hop, jump, or whatever else s/he wishes. Gawd can do ANYTHING, except... +6
  • ROMANS 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
  • No He can not. Hebrews 6:18-19 says: "In order that, through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope set before us.  This [hope] we have as an anchor for the soul, both sure and firm". Moses said of God: “The Rock, perfect is his activity, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; righteous and upright is he. (Deuteronomy 32:4, 5)
  • A Gawd who can do ANYTHING can also lie, because if s/he could NOT lie, then that would mean that s/he could not do EVERYTHING, right? +5
