  • I'm not sure if Compton and Watts are regularly visited by LdS missionaries, but if you request a visit ( www.mormon.org ) they will come.
  • I would expect so, a friend served as primary president in that area. Whether there are missionaries acivitely working in a given neighborhood is impossible to know - there is a limited number of missionaries and their locations are driven first by where their appointments are.
  • The 1st priority of the mission president is to ensure the safety of the full time missionaries. I am not sure how Compton and Watts are now but I remember when I was in the area back in the Mid 80's it was like the wild wild west there with constant shootings all the time. If it is still as dangerous as it was back then I am sure unless they had an appointment in that area they would not be regularly proselytizing in the area if the Mission President felt it was not a safe area for them to work in.
  • I think if not, would show their lack of faith in the afterlife. I mean getting killed in the name of bringing the word of God to them is an act of courage. seems something they don't have a lot of obviously.
