  • Well, without going into topics like the paranormal, it's clear to me that humans do indeed have the ability to "intuit" a great deal, and that this ability is relatively latent and undeveloped for most of us. It's also clear that our preoccupation with concepts and language is one of the main impediments. Because concepts seem so neat and stable, we're tempted to cling to them -- to divide reality up into neat little systems of ideas and proclaim ourselves owners of the Truth thereby. This obsession interferes with the more subtle but holistic capacity of the mind to integrate fragments of knowledge and experience in an intuitive and spontaneous way. Personally, I address this by practicing awareness ... when the mind is regularly "soaked in awareness", it quite naturally begins to put the puzzle pieces together in ways that would never be possible using the discursive / analytic crowbar of language.
