How can you fix it if you accidently unsubscribed from a comment thread?

Gina can't you just go back on the comment and unclick it? I think I have done this.

I think if you add another comment it subscribes you again. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

Just hit the button again! It will put you back in "subscribe" mode!

Go back to the comment thread and post another comment. This will reset your "unsubscribe" and you will again receive notifications when people post additional comments. :):):)

Go back to the question and add to the thread. I've done that and I think I was getting notified of new comments again.
