  • I've never heard of that. But on 20/20 or Primetime (I can't remember switch) they were talking about a condition that makes people taste in shapes. A lady was drinking soup and she said it was too round.
  • yes and no unsure? could be anything :P
  • Yes, I sure have. It's when the brains wires get crossed in an amazingly wonderful manner.
  • Synasthesia is a very rare condition, which would be very amazing to experience. You should tell your doctor, see if you could get yourself into a study or something, maybe get paid for it.
  • I've heard about people who can get a taste in their mouth when you say the name of a colour. Some other people can see sound as light shows in their heads.
  • I've heard of it many times. Allegedly some people who go on some kind of drugs can also have synaesthesia.
  • No, I haven't ...It sounds interesting though.
  • To me, or to virtually anyone else in the world, what you say has no meaning. But that does not say you are crazy, or that you are making it up. It just means that most people cannot conceptualize what you say. Wikipedia has an interesting article on this subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia It is suggested in the article that this is not even that uncommon an event, although there are apparently many variants, and that is is often unrecognized. This is not really a surprise. If you find this happens, you might just assume that everyone senses things the same way. For example, many color blind individuals do not know they are color blind for many years. They just assume that they see things the same way as others. I once met an eye doctor who never knew he was color blind until he was in grad school, and they showed the students in his class a test for color blindness! A thought is to make a virtue of this ability of yours. I once read that there are some women who are apparently tetrachromats (someone who sees a full 4 dimensions of color, as opposed to the rest of us, who have only three color receptors in our eyes.) It was suggested that these individuals were often better able to distinguish subtle differences in colors, and that therefore they were often better as interior decorators than the rest of us mere trichromats. My point is to use this connection of yours between the senses to your advantage. Perhaps music, or something similarly acoustic might be a career for you.
  • WHAT DO YOU EVEN MEAN HEAR IN COLOUR. DO DIFFERENT WORDS REPRESENT DIFFERENT COLOURS?? INTERESTING....
