  • Animals are on a different value system than humans. If that worrys you, consider that at one time, slaves (humans) were treated the same way we now treat animals. People like President Lincoln stood up for the slaves and they were granted freedom and rights, and now organizatins and activists are speaking on behalf of the animals and animal rights are changing. I just hope it doesn't go too far so that I can no longer enjoy a nice juicy slice of prime rib!
  • Not really. An animal is considered property. A person is not.
  • I agree wholeheartedly! There should be a genuine right-to-die law in every state, not just a (wink,wink) "that must have been too much morphine" scenario. There can be safeguards to assess competence. People should be able to receive assistance without putting the helper in legal jeopardy.
