  • I would call the police.
  • A child's welfare is everyones concern. Mom made it your business when she left her children unattended. Call the cops and stay with the children until they arrived.
  • Yes. No. The children would be gone when "momma" came out. I would have called a policeman or someone to come, release them from their "prison" and take them someplace safe. Happy Friday to you.
  • yeh its abuse, the mum should have them taken off of her.
  • Three hours is too long to have waited before calling the police. I personally wouldn't leave a child/children unattended in a vehicle for any length of time these days.
  • i would definitely call the police.
  • How old are the children? But I would most likely call the police.
  • it's neglect which is a form of abuse, but then wouldn't you have been neglectful also just watching them sitting in the car for 3 hours..? If i saw the kids in the car, then returned home a couple of hours later and they were still there i would definately call the police, the woman obviously needs to get her priorities right.
  • It's always your concern when a childs safety is in question. Report it immediately, write down the license plate number, take pictures and write down any details you can! The more information you have the better because you may be called as a witness in court.
  • If the children were very young, I would call the police and would possibly go into the bingo room and scream "who the hell left your young kids in the car?" Or maybe not -- just wait on the cops to arrive. If the kids are 14 and the car is in a safe area, none of my business.
  • This is defintely child neglect, and had I seen it, I defintely would have called the police and stayed there with the kids until something was done.
  • Of course I would consider it child abuse, it is. And as far as it being my concern, it is everyone's concern when it involves minor children. They are precious and to be protected always, at all costs. That mother should not retain custody of those kids if you ask me. They should be removed from her care, and placed in a safe environment, before its too late for them. And that mother should go to jail for her neglect coz to me, its criminal...what a selfish bitch!!!
  • Another example of an addiction taking precedence over the more important things in life. My dad has told me stories of his mom leaving him in the car at a local bar. Reporting it is the right thing to do. The children are the future of our country/world and as many have said must be protected by all of us.
  • definitely child abuse
  • It is your concern. Wife and i play bingo and had this to happen on several occasions. We call the police. Outcome has been different, depending on the ages of the children, mothers attitude, the weather conditions and outstanding warrants. This really borderlines child abuse. Do not be afraid to call the police. this is what they are there for. You are looking out for the children and not their bingo-crazed mother.
  • Its child abuse & the mother must be punished.
  • That's child abuse and I would have called the cops.
  • i consider it:selfishness, irresponsible, abuse, neglect, abandonment(physical and emotional)...call the cops ,it will get worse.....at this point ,the children should be the only concern....
  • If you think that's child abuse worthy of having someone's children taken away, I'd say you haven't really experienced life.
  • That's ridiculous! When I go to the strip club I make sure that I only leave the kids in the car for no more then an hour and a half.
  • anyone calling the police is a busybody and should be locked up. unless upon investigation the children are bound with ropes and gagged at the mouth. then i might be concerned. this question says someone noticed the children for three hours. i bet they got lots of information on other parked cars. that late at night it shouldnt be a problem to leave kids in the car. its locked. there is a horn. they are safe. i can be concerned and not be invasive.
