  • Comfortably? HA! Those things are like closets. Go either Junior Suite or adjoining rooms. You'll be very unhappy with four people in a standard cabin. If you can swing balconies, do it. I feel they're well worth it for an extra feeling of space.
  • The rooms are the size of a bathtub
  • I have never been on a cruise so I cannot give you help in that way and cost of rooms etc. The thing that did stand out to me however was the fact you don't trust your son and niece to share the same bed while on this cruise. In many countries like India brothers and sisters are raised sleeping in the same room and sleeping in the same bed often until the older child is married. Personally I would have no problem with the two sharing a bed on the cruise if expense is a problem at all. Because the way kids are raised today this is no longer the norm but it should be.
  • much depends on how much money you want to spend. A stand inside or outside, even outside with balcony room, usually has 2 lower berths (beds) and 2 upper berths. The two uppers are pullman berths which pull down from the wall when ready to use, and can be put back againest the wall when not. These rooms are not like hotel rooms with 2 double beds. 2 adjoining cabins is great because you then have 2 of everything.. TV's, showers, bathrooms, etc. You may find that junior suite may be more cost effective than 2 rooms. if you go this route you must book early to make sure you get the adjoining cabins. as for what you will spend. 1 room will cost you 2 regular rates and 2 3rd and 4th passenger rates. 2 adjoining rooms will cost you 2 regular rates per room so 4 regular rates (what ever that might be).. no discount for anyone just because there are 4 of you. a junior suite or regular suite will also be the 1st and 2nd passenger pay the regular rate with the 3rd and 4th passenger paying discounted (usually). Sooo.. lots of info to choose from.
  • I do not think your 11 year old son should be sleeping in the same room as a 14 year old niece in the first place. Most small cabins for 4 will have 2 fold down beds. Storage space will be very tight. Even a mini suite will not solve that problem of the boy and girl in the same room. My recommendation, if you can afford it, is two rooms with you and the niece in one and your husband and son in another. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪
