When the alternative is that I can't afford any health care at all then I have to say, yes. This is a problem with the FDA anyway and may or may not bleed into the rest of the govt. People are greedy and will do almost anything for money. I agree whole-heartedly that it is a problem but I am looking out for myself and without the healthcare reform planned I am unable to afford any coverage. If I was in a different economical position my views would undoubtedly change. Great question btw.

It wouldn't let me post my response as a comment... sorry. My answer may not have been very direct but it is yes. I would trust them to dictate policy, having no real alternative. Would I rather be free and homeless or a slave with a plate of beans. Well, I happen to be well trained in wilderness survival but if I weren't I would be the slave. This is such a great question and discussion because everyone will have their own differing opinions. If you just asked if I trust the govt then the answer would be an easy "NO WAY" but I and many others are stuck with this issue. How can we say no when we have real health problems that need addressed even if they plan to play Doctor as you say and which I agree with you fully. I have a close friend that feels the same as you and has a wife that is dying as we speak and they can't afford the treatment. I understand his stance even though he is loosing a loved one and I envy his ability to keep that position considering his possible loss. Contraversial to say the least.

oh my ... you mean do i trust the same government that assured me, the congress, and the world community that iraq had weapons of mass destruction and was involved in 9/11? no. but, i can't qualify for health insurance because of a pre-existing condition and i can't afford to buy health insurance for my 9 employees because the premium would be more than my salary, profits, and investments, combined.
