I'm 60, my wife is 56. We hold hands in public. We are not embarrassed. My first Shakespeare play at school was As You Like It. I was about 12 then. There was a lot of talk about love in the play, and some of us boys couldn't control the snigger. Our English teacher then taught us our first lesson about love. He said: "Love is nothing to be embarrassed about or ashamed of; it's not dirty. Remember, boys, if your parents did not love each other, you wouldn't have been born."

I love it! My grandparents on my mothers side are still alive and have been married over 60 years. They are still in love, and make the cutest couple :)

I guess since i am now 65 and my wife is 63, that we are considered elderly? I hate this. i am not ready for over the hill! My wife and i hold hands and kiss in public. We are proud to still be alive, in good health, and want to be an example of what a good marriage looks like to those contemplating a divorce. God had a plan for us, we know. Spreading Gods word can come in many forms. Ours is staying in a happy marriage for everyone else to see.

One of the joys of life is seeing elderly couples holding hands. I think it's wonderful when two people are still with each other after many years. That's true love.
