I throw something really silly or unconnected into what I'm saying. Such as "I've put a pink crocodile in your bed" and then just carry on.

I don't need to raise my voice. I'm told I already have a loud voice. I really don't. It's that I can project my voice. It comes from teaching school. No, I don't get nasty. I just get in the conversation somehow, because I can talk fast.
