  • Stress is the common reason behind this, lots of people use a gumshield to prevent wear & tear to their teeth, like sports people wear.
  • I had a lot of dental work done, and I guess I would grind because my mouth was sore, and continued afterwards. The dentist made me a mouthpiece, which stopped all grinding. I stopped wearing it after 3 months. It has made me sensitive to my mouth. Now if I am stressed and a part of my mouth hurts, I figure out how I did it and make sure I give it a rest. +5
  • its stress trying to get out. you could meditate once a day, or twice a day, or once every other day. meditation is the easiest way to release stress. just shut your eyes, and think of a two sylable word. breathe in on one and out on the other. soon you will forget about your mantra and drift into some imaginary dream. just let go. that is stress being released. then when you realize you were off on a dream, return to your mantra and breathe in on the first sylabel and out on the second. slow breathing. feel the blood pulse through your lips. feel the thump of your heart beat. just let go. it is so wonderful.
