I have a crippling phobia of vomit too, so I totally understand how you feel. I've been on the mini-pill for 4 years, and I have never had any sickness side effects with that - I don't know if it's different with the ordinary pill though.
I took it for about 10 years - never had any issues. None of my friends had those side effects either.
If you notice that you're starting to feel sick after taking them, call your doctor. They can prescribe another brand that may work better with your body.
I went on the pill over three years ago and I have never had any nausea or vomiting symptoms. If you do decide to go on the pill, take it before you go to sleep at night, it may help avoid those problems.
i had it quite bad, i ended up going off the pill as i couldnt handle being sick.. Why dont you go on the injection?
i have never thrown up from the pill and ive been on about 5 different ones trying to find one that i liked. thats funny though cuz my fear was gaining weight.
i had horrible side effects with the pill, granted the first time i took it was (cough cough) 17 years ago, i literally went mental, gained and lost weighton a weekly basis (up to 10 lbs)so i went to planned parenthood(not my usual obgyn)to see what they had to say and since i was on again off again with the pill for nearly 10 years, she agreed that a hormone altering pill wasnt a good choice she suggested a non hormone releasing devise called an iud, not the copper wire kind, it has been a blessing and is good for 10 years and i have 2 years left, the best part is , i can take it out whenever i want and no side effects and can get pregnant rite away, i strongly suggest asking you HCP to tell you more about it, i love the IUD, and so does my husband!
I hate nausea, so I understand your feelings! I was on the pill for one summer years ago, and I never experienced nausea. Of course everyone is different. Good luck!
I have never had any nausea or vomiting from the birth control pill, and I took it for many years.
Ive been on bc for a year and i haven never vomitted at all
am one of them that get that nausea and vomiting symptoms when i take my birth control. you should ask the doctor what that mean, me am not use to it.

What is the mini pill?
by Samgie on August 25th, 2009
It's a pill which only contains progesterone, as opposed to the normal pill which also contains oestrogen. I can't take oestrogen because of a nervous system disorder - quite a few women can't take additional oestrogen. It's mostly the same, except you have to take it at almost exactly the same time every day, and you don't have a week off from taking it every month - your period still happens whenever it wants to rather than the week you're not taking a pill.
