I do not know about plain rib bones but I do know pork is very hard on a dog's digestive system. If you do find out it is okay to feed the bones, make sure there isn't much pork on them.

i wouldnt. they swallow bones all the time.

NO! ALL COOKED OR HEAT TREATED BONES ARE DANGEROUS! Cooking bones makes them become brittle and then they can break and become sharp shards! RAW BONES OF ALL TYPES ARE SAFE....including raw chicken bones (the softest of all!) The only exception are the heavy leg bones of large animals...THOSE we raw feeders call WRECKER BONES because they are so dense that they can easily CRACK TEETH! It is always best when feeding a RAW BONE from any type of animal to insure there is plenty of nice raw meat attached to the bone. Raw bones, in addition to having many vital nutrients also help to FIRM up loose stools. So if you are feeding raw bones with little or no meat attached, you stand to cause constipation in your dog! http://www.skylarzack.com/rawfeeding.htm http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/ http://www.rawfeddogs.net/Recipes

Not a chance in hell. Cooked bone is quite bad for dogs.
-
Absolutely. Raw bones may splinter, cooked are softer. Never feed a dog chicken bones of any kind, they are hollow and will shatter.
