good question.i can't see that many positives to it other than taxes on winning but that's stretching it.

No. Sports betting, while I don't do it myself, is an American tradition, just like Bing Crosby.

As far as I'm concerned the government can stop worrying about such. Let folks gamble through licensed outlets and all winnings be taxed.
