Help answer this question below.

If you passed a bum on the street and he had a sign that said "Not gonna lie, I need money for booze, drugs and hookers." would you give them money? Why or why not?

    Because if I give him all my money for booze, drugs and hookers, I won't have any left for my booze, my drugs and my hookers. The truth of the matter is no, because it would like putting a gun to his head and according to the bible "thy shall not kill".

    My husband did that one time! The guy asked him for some money so he could buy a beer! My husband gave him like a buck or two and told him at least he was being honest with what he wanted the money for! I was so mad at him!
    I wouldn't give them any. If they need money that bad they need to go get some help, its out there, they just need to go get it, but alot of people are just too lazy to do it, thats why they stand on street corners and hold signs, its easy. I onece was eating in a resurant where several "bums" were eating, they ordered more food than we did and paid cash for it, I understand people gotta eat but geez, they had a wad of cash bigger than what was in my purse! And they got all that cash by standing on street corners or begging.
    I do understand that there ARE people out there that really DO need the money, but most of them just use it as an easy way to get money.

    Go get some help and work for your money like the rest of us do.

    probably not, his honesty wouldn't make up for the fact that he's probably in the streets cause of his need for booze, drugs and hookers! ya think?

    No, because I'd rather not support his/her habits. I used to live downtown in a fairly large city and I'm pretty sure you'd do more good giving to agencies, soup kitchens or the families lined up outside of them.
