Help answer this question below.

Many ABers use asterisks to disguise words they think others may find offensive. A questioner's name contained one of these words. Do you think AB should have some sort of filtering software to filter out potentially offensive user-names?

    I noticed this aswell and yes put in a filter. you mean b*** f*** i take it

    YES. And in his case and others, their questions, answers and comments are usually offensive and not needed on AB either, not just their user name.

    The filter should replace the offensive asterisks with more asterisks.
