Once you install Vista, the system will actually prompt you to select with OS you want to boot. But since Vista has serious compatibility issues, it better to have a separate hard drive to install on. But if you want to put everything on one disk, then 1. Defrag the drive, this step ensures the data structure of the volume is safe (in short..this is a safety precaution) 2. Partition drive with a partition software 3. Install Vista on the partition (be careful here, make sure you pick the right one) 4. Boot up and see if everything is right
