I leave them as mother nature made them, because it is an indignity to mistreat animals like that. An exception is that in very cold climates, it is OK to dress an animal in a kind of coat, to keep them warm. An example would be putting a small winter coat on a Mexican Hairless. Without one, the little thing will die of exposure. +5

I think it is stupid and wasteful to dress pets up. I do, however, put a coat on my dog when it is cold and we have to go out. I have a pit bull, so her coat is very thin, plus her coat is mostly white and you can see down to her skin.

Other than a bath and a haircut, my dogs stayed the way nature intended. :)

I don't know if this counts but last Christmas Tigger (our cat) had an allergic reaction to a cone collar he had to wear for a couple of months and lost some of his fur around his neck. We put a small red/white/green scarf around him to cover up the bald spots and he looked very jaunty and perky. Our Vet loved it. Other than that we have done nothing nor would we. He is extremely beautiful as he is, au naturel! :)
