Someone told me that there is a big carnval going on in Alaska during the later part of August. Does anyone have information on this?

I was actually talking about Anchorage, Alaska, but thanks for the link. I took a peek at ur link and was so cool! Never heard of it before, but it sounds so exciting. THANKS!
Have you been to this before? If you did, can you tell me what it was like?

its seven days of carnival. plus it is living on what you take with you. people walk around naked, and its okay. some people get painted blue from head to toe. 30000 people gather once a year. there are sculptures and strange vehicles and strange buildings and interesting inventions that people share about making the environment safe to live in. there are a lot of police so every one is cool.
