You're a good person with a nice smile ... Not so much what was said, but more the moment, the place, and who said it ... A beautiful stranger out of the blue, from something I did for another ... It was a special unexpected moment which I always seem to remember, which often brings back the smile when I do. :) Peace.

I was getting dressed up to go out with my husband, dress, hair makeup, the whole deal, and I walk out, and my daughter, who was almost three at the time says "Mommy, you're beautiful!" While running her hand down the side of my hair. It was so sweet. Then of course, I have to remember it's a compliment when she gets into my makeup so that she can be beautiful. Cause if it makes mommy beautiful, it must work for her too. Those two are my favorites.

I almost don't want to say exactly what it was, it sounds a bit big headed. But it was written to me in an autographed copy of a book the author gave me when he found out about me and my work. Like I say, I don't want to say it word for word but it meant the world to me to be recognised, appreciated and complemented for something that usually people don't appreciate in my society.

To turn this question slightly around... In my opinion, the best compliment I can ever offer someone is to say "Well done". To me, this means they have accomplished their goals, fully satisfied what they set out to do, as well as having met all of my expectations for what they SHOULD have done. Has anyone ever given me this compliment? Yes.

He and i had our small children at the park, three of them were running down a hill, i had the baby in my arms, we were watching them play when He took my hand, held it to his lips and said, i will love you for the rest of my life. melts my heart to remember it now....
