Folks probably wouldn't "DR" at all, if they could not do so anonymously, because they would fear retaliation from the person to whom they gave the "DR." +5
-
I don't understand why DRers say +whatever. Although i've noticed that it's usually only those that can give 5 plus points. +2
-
I do not DR people at all if I can avoid it. +5
-
I haven't d/r'd anyone yet. If I ever did, I would let them know it was me.
-
Very rarely! And the one who is affecting, knows it's me!
-
Most of the ones I have seen that put +points in their answers or comments have very high +% given and rarely if ever downrate. When they do downrate it is usually when someone is very offensive in their post. Those that do downrate a lot are usually only here to judge others or because they have gotten mad at a member and want to lash out at others. They are not going to normally tell you when they downrate because they do not want to have to feel they have to answer for their actions. Yes gutless cowards.
-
Something has to be absurdly abusive and/or offensive for me to downrate anyone and when that occurs I have no problem whatsoever in letting the person know. Disagreeing with a person should not merit a DR, in my opinion. But anyone who will not explain a DR is a coward. Why should they fear retaliation if the DR is warranted and explained? After all, it's not the points, but the principle.
-
Yes. I also usually let them know when I flag their question.
-
I only DR'd twice and both questions had to do with the abuse of a child and a woman respectively. I made it known strongly that it was me. I think when someone DR's it should be made known. They are little insecure cowards. They should also have to post a real picture of them! + 5 Firefly, Peace, Jonathan

they are cowards and petty. they fear confrontation. they are not strong in their convictions and fear being asked to defend their position.
-
I don't DR anyone. If it's DRable by me, it's flaggable. +5
-
I don't downrate people, but if I did, I'd post a note saying that I DR'd the question/answer and the reason for the DR. +5
-
If and when I have ever D/R'd anyone I have ALWAYS left a comment as to why I did it... same as if I flag a question I leave a comment as to why and trust me they could not in a million years not understand my reasons for doing so
-
I'm pretty sure that last time I DR'ed, I told the person.. but that was a VERY long time ago
-
Have you ever thought that maybe their two totally differnt sources?
-
I never let you know either.
-
Many of the DRs are drive-by trolling. There are a few answers where I do that myself, but most of them tend to be -7 or below before I get there and *blatantly* obvious as to why. However, I personally tend to leave a comment when I DR unless the reason is so obvious to anybody with a brainstem that I deem that no explanation is required.
