  • It is common where he is from, so he didn't think he was doing anything strange. It's no different than eating chicken or something.
  • Rose.......if you have a pet...........I'd keep him indoors ;)
  • Hey...if it's legal, and he feels like cooking his dog, then leave him alone. Not everybody worships dogs like Americans.
  • Maybe he was hungry. Is a dog different from a dove?
  • In western countries there are industrial abattoirs slaughtering hundreds of thousands of animals a day to provide meat for fast food, and people are bitching about one dog? (no pun intended!) People raise animals for meat all over the world, killing and eating a dog is not that different from killing a cow for burgers, the difference is we view dogs as pets.
  • Immigration without acculturation means you get quasi-citizens.
  • Dog is a good meal in certain parts of the world. A humans need to eat is more important than some dogs "rights". It may be a wierd choice, but its ultimately just another animal, like cow or pigs.
  • Yummm, but not for me. As long as he did not torture the animal. I'm glad he's not in my neighborhood. +4
  • Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
  • There are many people in this world that find eating pork a taboo. Others don't. I feel that no one group should be allowed to force another group to subscribe to a way of life they have never followed. Groups throughout history have done so, and still do so. That does not make it right. If we start allowing a group, whether it is a minority or a majority, to dictate the way another group will live, when that particular thing hurt no one (the dog was humanely killed, not tortured, and was NOT human, so don't go there), then we end up with what is known as a police state, or dictatorship. That is never good, when the ones dictating do so according to their personal beliefs, instead of what is good for the people. I would not, in all honesty, have a problem with the USA allowing dogs and cats to be killed humanely and sold in stores or eaten (as well as rats, wild game, and so on). Were we to allow this, the way things like that breed, we would have a very cheap, lean meat to supply to the poor. How is this wrong?
  • Now I look at my kitty cat in a whole new way. Sadly, she's 98% fur and only 2% cat. Not enough to bother with.
  • This makes me feel sick. Everytime I've thought of this over the last week, I think of the saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". This is New Zealand. We dont eat dogs here. Ok so they do in Tonga, but the family lives here now. Adjust to the lifestyle here and accept our ways. I do think there needs to be some changes to the law as it's way too open-ended as it is. SPCA wants changes too. Thanks for asking the question ~ I've been wanting to all week, but wasnt sure how to word it!
