In england some school truants skip school to form gangs? what is the point in these gangs and what do they do? how many years do they run for? what do these young people know about? and what do the truants do for jobs ussually when they're older

Usually consist of boys from a neighbourhood coming together to protect themselves from other gangs and to work toghether as they grow older usually in a violent criminal life drug dealing

Yes they do. The point is just to hang out together and "do things". The gangs are very long-lived, though individual members rotate through. Some of the gangs may be 15 or 20 years only, but individuals probably only stay in them five years. They end to be associated, though not inevitably, with criminal behaviour so a relatively high proportion will fall into regular crime. But most will come through and do the ordinary sort of jobs that less-skilled people do - security guards, drivers, food service etc.
