There has never been any credible accusations of Rush abusing illegal drugs. He did get hooked on and abused a prescription pain killer while he was suffering from severe back pain. However, since he got back surgery to fix that problem and complete his rehab, there have been no credible accusations of his continuing to abuse such drugs.

He abused prescription drugs, not illegal drugs. I'm not saying it's worse but it is different. Who knows if he is still doing it -- anybody's guess.
