No but at a recent wedding I attended they did. 3 layers high, with strawberries around the edges and various fruits that you could dip in it.

I cater and many clients want a chocolate fountain. I always discourage it becuase the fountainn requires constant attention- the rental includes a dedicated server who never leaves it. Also- the chocolate is thinned with oil to make it flow. Its makes an impressive show, but I think its done.

No but I have a sugar bowl.

I went to a congregation party yesterday where the hosts just got a fountain and wanted to try it out before an upcoming graduation party. The thing worked great for about 10 minutes and then it just suddenly stopped. It was taken apart and then we just had a bowl of melted chocolate. It was still good like that. I think a fondue pot with a sterno underneath it would have been a better idea. You have to put oil in the chocolate to keep it smooth and flowing. There was cut fresh bananas, pineapple, strawberries, marshmallows and pretzel logs. It was tasty but like I said, a hot pot would have served the purpose and not broken down.
