Yes! 'Gertrude', the small black female domestic kitten was given to my sweetie and me by a waitress at an outdoor cafe in Chinatown in San Francisco in '78. That night, she drank half-and-half outta a champaine glass! Great cat! ;-)

One of the best dogs I ever had was little Max. He looked like a Corgie/Dashund mix. He was such a good dog that I worried that some of my friends might try to dognap him. Just kidding. But I never had a problem getting a dog sitter when I needed one.

Yep, whenever strays show up, they have a place to stay & I take care of them as long as they want to stay. I also take care of critters too!

Yes. Several years ago, I found this little tortoise shell colored kitten behind my car and I kept her. She was wonderful. I named her Zeena. +5

Any pet I have ever had was from the street. Our last cat was weird though, we never fed it never knew it...never seen it before, and it showed up and meowed at our bedroom window all night long...we let it inside and it just stayed. Weird....it even scratched at the window.

Both of my pets came from the streets.

I've tried when I was a kid. Parents were against it, so I didn't get to keep them.

Yes, I did but I must admit I had an ulterior motive. One day, my wife said "there is a rat in the house, kill it". Since I couldn't do that, I went out into the street and grabbed a stray cat passing by and threw him in the yard with the rat. After he did his job, I couldn't get rid of the cat and he lived with us for years. I named him "Tom" and I dedicate this to him.
