I had a tubal ligation after my second child. I am sorry I did, because I found myself wanting another child two years ago. Anyway, it is a simple procedure. You are put under anesthesia, a small scope/cauterizer is inserted through the naval and the tube is cauterized. Some surgeons cut and tie them, but most are seared, which in some cases can be reversed. I was only in pain for a couple of days and back to work within a couple of days. Make sure it is what you wnat to do before you do it. Good luck.

one HUGE warning. Tubal ligation could send you into early menopause! I didn't know that until my sister had it done and it happened to her. So, after some research, I discovered its potential. Be full warned.

The doctor makes a small incision just below your belly button and goes through that to ties the tubes. It is painful for about a week. It may also make your menstral cycle heavier. I had it done two years ago.
