A combination of both..

Both, for me. I have made plenty of mistakes myself, but also have seen others. One thing I have learned is that the old adage "better safe than sorry" is very true! I have learned to be more cautious. :-) +5

Both although I have a tendency to believe I will achieve a different result than others so I learn by making my own mistakes when if I had paid attention I could have learned from others.
-
I do learn from my own mistakes but never understood how to learn from the mistakes of others. Many times I am unaware of what they did wrong to end up failing. Mainly because they didn't know as well or they would not have failed. I have found that most mistakes are really only missed or skipped steps in a plan.

I hope I learn from both ... I always try not to make the same mistakes over and over again ... if I can avoid it.
-
I have to make the mistakes myself to learn from them
-
I try to from both.....doesn't always work though
-
I try to learn from both.
-
Mostly from my own mistakes, but I have learned and continue to learn from other's mistakes.
-
A little of both.
-
It's more of an impact to learn from my own but I always try to learn from others too.
-
Probably a little of both but I do tend to learn more from my own... because I may not think the same as someone else to make their mistakes....
