Treat the other guy when your fighting him as if he's your worst enemy.

Stay away from vice; i,e. smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. Do not over eat, get plenty of rest, run a few miles at least 3 times a week, don't overindulge in sex or eating. Eat healthy food (lots of fruits). And inside the ring, make sure that when you throw a punch with either hand, you always cover your chin with the other. In other word, don't leave yourself open for the counter-punch.
