The King business just isn't what it used to be anymore. It's sadly a thing of history, having closed up under Elizabeth I. The Court of Augmentations and Revenues, incorporated into the Exchequer in 1554 as the Augmentation Office, administered the estates of the crown - the 'Augmentations' being the lands seized by Henry VIII when he dissolved the monasteries.
