I'd like to know; What exactly gives people confidence that God is there and is waiting to judge them? Is it what other people say? Is it how much your lives changed after religion? Is it because you can't prove or disprove God?

When you have been at the lowest point in your life, and your in jail, and you think life is not worth living, and you decide to end your life, and God comes to you, and all of a sudden you feel His Presence and He speaks to you and says he loves you, and all the fear you had is gone, its hard not to believe in God.
