There is jealousy between the family members ,as they do not wanted you to go ahead one step further then themselves ,and other people who are not related to you do not care whether you are rich or poor.

Im thinking that its because they can Choose to treat you better and family has kind of a Have to kind of thought. I think family sometimes takes us for granted. Sadly....

I often have wondered about that myself. I am not all sure of why. Maybe it has something to do with being around the ones we are related to more often, therefore both parties can get on each others nerves more often, & easier. +5

I think it's because other people spend less time with us than family so there's no over-familiarity to breed contempt.
