  • We use Gas
  • I'm not sure, but isn't everything organic chemically based....
  • First are they in your house or outside? I have found out if they are inside the best thing that work is pet flea powder. Since I have pets indoors I wanted to use something that will not hurt them. Now on the outside I have heard gas but that is not safe for anything. You really do not get rid of fire ants you just move then around but try to move them out of the area you are in. You might want to try the flea powder out side too it might work, but make sure you knock down the mound to get the stir up and put it on them. It does something to them and it kills them.
  • Diatomacous Earth or DE is a great, non-toxic deterent for all manner or insects. You can purchase a small bag of it at most Lawn and Garden stores for less than $10. Just scatter the powder at doorways. I have also drenched fire ant mounds with Murphy's Oil soap and hot water (Mix 1 part soap to 3 parts water) with some success.
