sounds like a CPU overheat
open the case and clean out all of the cat hair and verify if the cpu fan is working
Lightning struck near my house last night causing my accidentally plugged in laptop to spark at the place where it was plugged in. the laptop works but refuses to charge. Is this an internal problem or a problem with the power cord?

When I use My Laptop (IBM T40) it goes all FRIZZ! So I have to turn it off by pressing the power button!Why My Laptop goes Frizz?
