  • The govenment is not responsible for healthcare. (At least in the United States). The wait in the Emergency Department is not by who came in first or whether it is inconvenient. People are seen on a as needed basis. If there is someone sicker, or has the potential to be sicker then they are seen first. If you go to the hospital emergency for soemthing that should be seen by your own family doctor, we will not think twice about making you wait all day plus. You should only be in the emergency room for actual emergencies that can't wait for a doctor's appt. If you don't have a family doctor, GET ONE! now, before you do have an emergency. Take responsibility for yourself! The government is not your babysitter. Take personal responsibility.
  • um, I'd blame the people, for being hurt and sick. No, jk. I'd say governemnt
  • I think it is due to a lack of funding, but I don't think the government currently funds health care. I think the funds of the companies that do fund health care are being mismanaged and better planning on their part could eventually lead to faster service in the waiting room. I once complained to a doctor about having to wait so long in agony in the emergency room, and he said that they (doctors, nurses and staff) are as upset about the problem as we are. He said that there are just not enough facilities to handle all the people that require health care. One of the problems are the people that go to the emergency room with problems that just as easily could have ben handled by their physician.
  • Well, that would depend on where you're going. If you go to a public hospital, beauracracy would be my guess and then incompetence. If it were a private one...well, I'd still blame the same things and add theft to it
  • None of the above...I would blame people going to the ED who did not really need to be there and/or did not take responsibility for getting insurance or signing up for medicade/medicare.
