No problem. I can read it just fine.

it would be hard for me to understand you. it would change after awhile of living in America.
-
Possibly. I have heard some heavy Scottish accents. In time you would lose some of it if you lived here. That would only be natural. +5

Maybe at first, but after being around each other awhile, would probably come adjusted. And yea, it would probably change after you had been her for quite awhile. I'm in Texas. I've even seen Israeli's pick up a Texas accent after being here awhile. Seems to be catching.

Aye,Lad!!

I have a cousin from Scotland. It takes me a good hour to fully understand her, and then I still can't make out every word.

It depends on how hard the listener is trying and if they are listening to your words or if they are distracted by your accent. I think I would be able to understand you if I really tried. I think that your accent would be diluted the longer you lived in the US; Of course Arnold Schwazenegger has been here almost 40 years and his accent is still really strong, I think that might be an image thing though, sort of like Sarkozy and his use of slang.

It would take a long time! it would change after a few years. I actually love the Scottish accents :)

I have always had a knack for understanding accents. It gets harder, though, when there are idiomatic expressions involved. D'ye ken? As to changing if you moved, I think that depends on your age, and whether you want to change. There are several actors who can "do American" convincingly, but in conversation, seem to speak the way of their homes.

I suppose that it might take me a few minutes to get accustomed to your accent, but I generally don't have too hard a time understanding people. Some people who move to the US lose their accent over time, and others don't. If you wanted it to go away, you could make an effort at it - but I happen to like listening to people with accents - so I'd be more inclined to suggest you don't purposely work to make it go away. It might lessen a bit even if you don't try - which will also make it easier for other people to understand you. As you asked in a previous comment - speaking slower might help some people understand you.
-
At first it would be difficult for people to understand you but in a short time with minimal work you would be OK. People would enjoy hearing someone with a different accent as long as they could be easily understood.

I hope it never changes! I think it is just great! and hope to hear it soon!
