Have you read the "Little House" series by Laura Ingalls Wilder? I love those books!! I am reading The Long Winter right now. Do you like her writing?

    I've read them several times. As a child and as an adult. They are great! The Long Winter is my favorite one! I got the set for my step-daughter and she loved them too!

    Rose Wilder Lane actually wrote them for her mother.They are excellent.The Long Winter could easily be used in an economics class-the various negotiations on wheat explore Qs on value & speculation.And,of course, they are quality books for the young-but several are well worth reading as an adult.

    i read the whole series and loved it. remember how when the family used to live in the woods and on christmas, all the kids would run to their stockings and see what was inside. then there was the penny at the bottle in the toe part.

    Yes, I read them many times as a child, and several more times as an adult. They are very well written, as any literature is that can be enjoyed both by children and adults.
