As long as your doctor says it is safe, it usually is until the last trimester, when he might put some limitations on it. It depends on your specific situation. Ask your doctor as you progress with your pregnancy and he/she can advise you on this. Sometimes it is not recommended later in the pregnancy, and sometimes it is OK almost up until delivery date. But ask your doctor to be safe and sure!

I was encouraged to have sex through my entire pregancy. Especially when my daughter was 10 days overdue. The doctor said sex would help bring on labor. As long as there are no complications you are fine.

Yes it is safe to have sex while pregnant I would even say it helps you feel better about yourself. When you get close to your due date your doctor will probably even recomend that you do it helps labour along as well.

Oh no, it isn't! Here is why: Firstly, it may cause bruises on or holes in the baby and who would want to give birth to Swiss cheese? Secondly, all that sperm floating around might be ingested by the baby and choke it. Finally, babies have a very strong grip, and although that sounds like a positive, the baby might not let go of the penis and you'll either A: have to cut it off or B: give birth there and then using the 'uncorking' birth method ... ker-plop!!
