  • Yes, I believe that, Suby. Hydrochloric acid eats right through everything. The most outer lining of the mucus membranes in the stomach produces a neutralizer, a bicarbonate water solution in order to protect the stomach of getting destroyed.
  • I believe it. I think some peoples stomach acids work a little over time. That would be me.

  • I do believe you Suby. My wife suffers with reflux and the acid can cause agony.I dont know how strong they actually are but I would think that in time they could break down most digestable things.....
  • Yep. That's how our digestive system works! Heck, not many people know they can clean rust off steel with the Coke they drink! You will NOT dissolve a nail, or other similar object though. The Coke isn't acidic enough for that. Drop a rusty steel nail in some Coke for a few days and see!
  • Sure do. On the Ph scale our stomach acid is roughly a 3.4, which is very acidic.
