Not officially, but yes, it would have to be.

No. No more than pain or grief are "sins". It is a human condition we all are subject to. Only when we allow it to cause dispair of life itself, or God's love, can it become deadly. And there are different kinds of dispair. I have "dispaired" of many causes and my efforts in them, and walked away. Sometimes it is simply recognizing the obvious futility of some things and "shaking the dust from your sandals".
