Vodka...the trick is to put it in the freezer then take swigs. Try buying a more expensive bottle

Vodka has no particular smell, but if you are drinking alcohol of any type, it can be detected on your breath as it is metabolised in your body.

Gin is actually the best for this. Frankly, I'm ashamed no one has mentioned it.
