Here's a recipe for the icing: http://members.nuvox.net/~zt.proicer/recipes/all-recipes.htm#VINEGAR%20ICING VINEGAR ICING * 1 cup Brown sugar * 1 cup White sugar * 2/3 cup Water * 1/8 teas Cream of tartar * 2 tb Vinegar * 2 Egg whites, stiffly beaten * 1 teas clear Vanilla Combine all ingredients except flavoring and eggs. Boil to soft ball stage (236 F). Pour slowly, beating constantly, into egg whites. Add flavoring. Continue beating until thick and creamy.
