Actually yes, I do. I lived in Los Lunas, NM at the time. I was watching the Dolphins and Patriots on Monday Night Football and Howard Cosell broke the news to America. I called my then-husband, who was at work at the time.

Not at all. I wasn't a fan of the Beetles or of John.

Yes. I had just returned home from a hospital where a dear friend of mine was - she had a brain aneurysm that day on the job and was dying. I went home where my ex-husband was watching a football game. I decided to go to bed (depressed about friend). When the game was interrupted to make announcement about Lennon, he came in to tell me. It really didn't sink in until the next day. It was a very sad time for me as my friend died too. I could not believe someone would shoot John Lennon.

Lennon was not assassinated, he was murderd in cold blood by a crazy idiot with a gun.

I was on my way home from being in Hospital for 4 months after being burnt in an accident... still wrapped in bandages and on walking sticks my friends and I went down to the pub and drank beers and J.D. and listened to his music on the jukebox until the pub shut ... very very very sad day

I wasn't even in the womb yet. I remember in 2005 when it was the 25th anniversary,my history teacher wrote it up on the whiteboard. I think I was one of about three kids in that class who knew who he was, It's sad how the current generation don't know who the musical greats are.

I was on a sitting next to my boyfriend in his pick-up when the news came on the radio....
